Laurieton is a friendly, quiet and attractive and friendly weekend getaway and holiday destination, about 40 km south of Port Macquarie and 300 km north of Sydney. Laurieton is located at the mouth of the Camden Haven River beneath North Brother Mountain. There is a fantastic array of beaches, lagoons and waterways to explore and enjoy. You can launch your boat and explore and try your luck fishing in Watson Taylors Lake, Queens Lake, Stingray Creek, Camden Haven Inlet. The main species targeted are bream, flathead, whiting, and blackfish in the lakes and rivers. Offshore and from the rocks and beaches you can catch rock, cod, jewfish, tailor, leather jacket, snapper and drummer. The local beaches are great for surfing and the lakes idea for all the family to enjoy.
