Leeman is the base for miner families working at the Mineral Sands mine at Eneabba. Leeman has many attractions and great facilities including a picnic and BBQ area, an excellent boat ramp, wonderful fishing from the shore and boats and very good swimming and diving locations. Leeman is a great place to see spectacular display of wildflowers in Spring from late July through to November. Lesueur National Park, boasts more than 900 species of plants. The Stockyard Gully National Park, home to a network of large caves, is located 14 kilometres east of Leeman. Lake Indoon, east of Leeman, is a beautiful freshwater lake that is great for boating, kayaking, canoeing and water skiing. It is also a popular picnic spot, with barbecue facilities and washrooms. Leeman is famous as one of the great windsurfing spots in the world. There is another networked by caves at the little mining town of Eneabba, located about 35 km inland from Leeman. 13 km to the south is the small fishing village of Green Head.
