Facilities at Leinster, supplied for the mine workers and their families, include shops, post office, service station, Caravan Park, primary school and pub. Sporting facilities include an 18-hole golf course and indoor sports centre. Leinster and the surrounding district are home to a variety of wildlife including kangaroos, emus and wedge tailed eagles. The nearby historic towns of Agnew and Lawlers are worth a visit.
