Littlehampton is a charming and small rural service and tourist town located in the Adelaide Hills Region of South Australia, about 5 km from Mount Barker with a marvellous range of heritage buildings dating from 1849. One of South Australia`s oldest churches (built 1862) is located on the main street and is still being used as a church. There are a number of beautiful and fascinating cafes, restaurants, food outlets, arts and craft and antiques shops and various retail outlets in the main street. Littlehampton is close to Balhannah via Junction Road and to Hahndorf via a minor road through farmland with grain, dairying and mixed farming agriculture. There are many fine vineyards in the local area and in the surrounding region as well as wholesale plant nurseries, market gardens, and hobby farms. There are a number of delightful bed and breakfasts, hotels, motels, houses and other places to stay. Littlehampton is a delightful place to use as a base for a wonderful holiday exploring the Adelaide Hills Region.
