This sanctuary is home to a local seal colony, which can be seen from the beach, or experienced close-up with Sea Kyaking tours, and charter boat tours. There is a beautiful swimming beach, great surfing and outstanding diving and snorkelling. Protected areas of the reefs feature bull kelps and other seaweeds and there is an abundance of sponges, soft corals and other marine invertebrates. The sandstone reefs, known as Little Henty Reefs lie about 80 m offshore from the beach and are easily accessed for snorkelling and scuba diving, and another feature is Little Henty Islands.
