Margate is a bayside suburb in the Redcliffe district, which is a strip of beaches on the shores Moreton Bay near Brisbane. Margate has a long, flat boardwalk area providing ideal conditions for visitors to stroll, cycle or rollerblade along the scenic parklands beside Moreton Bay. There are picnic shelters and BBQs barbecues all along the esplanade. Margate is also a popular swimming beach with its beautiful clean white sand and generally calm waters. When the wind is blowing, windsurfers head for Scotts Point at the southern end of Margate for its perfect conditions.
