The rural river town of Moruya is located bout 10 minutes from the coast, inland from Moruya Heads. Moruya is an ideal place for couples and families to stay for a holiday exploring the delights of the Euorbodalla Coast. Moruya Heads has a fantastic surfing beach that is patrolled during the summer months and is also a popular spot for beach fishing. Also there is excellent fishing in the Moruya River estuary. There are many other secluded beaches along the nearby coast, including Congo and Bingie. The magnificent coastline just south of Moruya Heads is very scenic with magnificent secluded beaches and rocky headlands. This area is ideal for canoeing, kayaking, bushwalking, swimming, fishing, or just relaxing. The river is excellent for boating, canoeing and kayaking. From Moruya, it is only a short drive to Broulee, Tuross Head and Tomakin Beaches and their excellent facilities. Moruya is also the gateway to the scenic wonders of the Araluen Valley in the hinterland and Deua National Park.
