Mount Dutton Bay is situated about 15 km west of Coffin Bay, on the Eyre Peninsula, west of Adelaide. The township has a number of beachfront houses and a small permanent population and it is an ideal spot for a fishing holiday. There is an excellent boat ramp for launching your boat and you can also fish from the heritage listed jetty. The major tourist attraction is the Woolshed Museum. The historic Woolshed at Mount Dutton Bay that dates from 1875, has been fully restored as a magnificent museum. It features a 4-stand shearing shed, a wool press and the historic shearers` quarters. Part of the building has been renovated as hostel accommodation, and you can also stay in the shearers` quarters. The woolshed is situated on the waterfront, just opposite the restored jetty and boat ramp. Mount Dutton Bay also has good beach facilities and it an excellent fishing spot from the shore, jetty or boat.
