Mount Mee is included in the mountains of D'Aguilar Range, which borders Brisbane Forest Park and State Parks providing a wonderful mountain retreat and adventure area. This scenic area has many waterfalls, cool streams, rocky waterholes and wonderful rainforest walks and mountain bike rides. The beautiful Somerset walking trail boasts spectacular views over Lake Somerset and Lake Wivenhoe, which provide water sports opportunities. Mount Mee has panoramic views stretching from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane and overlooks the spectacular volcanic peaks of the Glass House Mountains. To the west is the Mount Mee State Forest, which has picnic facilities, camping areas and rainforest walking tracks. The neighbouring towns of Dayboro and Samford Village are worth visiting. The surrounding park areas features many different walking tracks, mountain bike tracks, picnic areas, lookouts, camping grounds, and numerous tracks for offroad driving.
