Narrogin is a major rural service town in the Wheatbelt region of Outback Western Australia, located 190 km south-east of Perth on the Great Southern Highway between Wagin and Pingelly. Narrogin is a great base to explore the region, with many attractions close to the centre of town. The Dryandra Woodland about 22 km from Narrogin, is home to over 24 mammal species and 100 bird species and provides an excellent way to see some of the region's native animals including possums, woylies, echidnas, wallabies and kangaroos. The Visitor Centre is located within the Old Courthouse and has museum exhibits and lots of regional information, as well as locally produced arts and crafts. The Narrogin Town Hall is the social hub of the town. There is a wide range of accommodation including farmstays, hotels, motels, guesthouses, bed and breakfasts, self-contained accommodation and a caravan park. Local attractions include: # The Narrogin Town Heritage Trail - offers visitors two guided tours of the town and environs which includes the Old Court House Museum, the Old Courthouse, Town Hall and Library and the Horderns Hotel # Narrogin District Heritage Trail is a 117 km long drive around the district.
