Listed Below are the Newcastle Waters - Holiday Activities, Tours, Attractions - Find where to Go, what to See and Do.

The outback town of Newcastle Waters is located, in the Tennant Creek Region of Northern Territory about 270 km north of Tennant Creek, 780 km north of Alice Springs and 70 km south from Darwin. Newcastle Waters is part of a huge, historic cattle station in the Barkly Tablelands. The town declined in the 1960s because of the decline in droving after the arrival of road trains for transporting cattle. The historic remains of the Jones's Store, the Junction Hotel, George Man Fong`s house, which has been preserved as a museum, and the Drovers Memorial Park (featuring a bronze statue of a drover) showcases the area's heritage and gives visitors an insight into life in the old outback. Local attractions include: # The town of Elliott which lies about 25 km to the south of Newcastle, is a stop-over town and administrative centre for the region. # Anthony Lagoon - which a large and permanent water supply on Creswell Creek. There are many attractions and activities at Tennant Creek and in the surrounding district for all types of visitors.
