Norah Head, a popular beachside holiday town and weekend getaway on the Central Coast, 20 km north of The Entrance, near Tuggerah Lake. It is surrounded by lakes, beaches and superb National Parks. It is a great spot for surfing, angling, kayaking, swimming, enjoying the, snorkelling, scuba diving, bushwalking and windsurfing. There is a fantastic rock-pool for children to ply in at the bay. You can surf at the spectacular Soldiers Point Beach, which has excellent facilities and is patrolled by life savers during the holiday season. The bay is perfect for scuba diving, snorkelling, canoeing, kayaking and all types of boating and sailing. There are boat ramps in the nearby lakes and on the beach for launching fishing boats. The angling from rocks, shore or beach is excellent. There is a scenic lookout and whale watching platform at Norah Head lighthouse. There are many beautiful dive sites in this region and you can hire dive gear at one of the many diver shops in the area. There is a wide range of accommodation at Norah Head and excellent facilities for an enjoyable holiday.
