Nudgee Beach is an outer suburb and beach located about 18 km north of the centre of Brisbane close to where Shultz Canal drains into Moreton Bay, directly north of Brisbane Airport. Nudgee Beach is enclosed by extensive mangrove wetlands and the suburban area is surrounded on the north and west by theowned Boondall Wetlands. The marine area at Nudgee Beach incorporates the Bramble Bay section of the Moreton Bay Marine Park. Nudgee Beach is the home of the renowned Nudgee Beach Environmental Education Centre which teaches students about wetlands and marine environments and their catchments. Powerboats, tricycles, kayaks and canoes are used to explore and investigate the reserve areas. This is a great place to visit as there is so much to see and do in the area.
