Nymboida is a very small town situated about 40 km from the regional centre of Grafton, on the road between Grafton and Armidale. The township lies adjacent to the Nymboida River and Goolang Creek and features a heritage style hotel/motel, museum, farm stays, camp grounds, canoe and outdoor activities centre. Nymboida and the surrounding district have stunning scenery, magnificent rivers and creeks, abundant wildlife, excellent boating and fishing. Nymboida specialises in extreme sports such as canoeing, canyoning, rock-climbing, white water rafting, abseiling, kayaking, 4WD adventures and mountain-biking, which makes Nymboida is the outdoor adventure capital of the Clarence Valley. The Nymboida River has a large platypus community and visitors can see these magnificent shy creatures in the early morning and late afternoon in the large pools lined with granite boulders. Nymboida Canoe Centre has some of the best kayaking and white water facilities in NSW and has hosted many State, Regional and National Championships.
