Ocean Grove lies on the eastern shoreline of the Barwon River estuary with the twin town, Barwon Heads on the western side of the inlet. The estuary connects the Barwon River and Lake Connewarre to the ocean. These twin towns boast the closest surfing beaches to Geelong and also he sheltered family beaches along the riverbank, making these areas they are very popular holiday destinations. Ocean Grove is the second largest town on the Bellarine Peninsula and offers a wide selection of shopping facilities including art and craft shops, restaurants, cafes and speciality shops.
