There are ten islands offshore in the Mackerel Islands Group, which provide many attractions. One of the most popular is Thevenard Island which is a 6 km long coral atoll which has accommodation and features pristine white beaches, abundant fish, and stunning coral for scuba diving and snorkeling. Visit the Onslow Visitor Centre, located in the Goods Shed Museum, for maps and advice on what to see and do in the area.
