Listed Below are the Oodnadatta - Holiday Activities, Tours, Attractions - Find where to Go, what to See and Do.Oodnadatta is a small township in Outback South Australia on the Oodnadatta track that is a popular stop-over travelers. It lies on the cross-roads of the road from the Oodnadatta Track from Marree to Marlaor, the road from Coober Pedy or via or from the north on the road from Finke in the Northern Territory(`Ghan Heritage Trail`). Oodnadatta is surrounded by huge cattle stations in the Arid Pastoral rangelands close to the Simpson Desert, about 1,000 km north of Adelaide. The Pink Roadhouse is the hub of the town, named for its bright pink colour, providing hot food, fuel, groceries, post office and mechanical repairs. The railway closed in 1980, and the old railway station has been converted into a museum that showcases the history of the surrounding area and the heritage of the stockmen and railway workers. In tour 4WD you can travel to the thermal ponds at Dalhousie Springs and swim in the warm thermal spring water, and explore the nearby Dalhousie Station ruins. Adventurers can use their 4WD to explore the Witjira National Park and the Simpson Desert.
