St. Georges Basin is located close to the southern end or Jervis Bay with its beautiful beaches. The Basin is tidal and connects to the sea at Sussex Inlet. Paradise Beach is one of a several small holiday towns around the shoreline. St Georges Basin is renowned for its sailing and windsurfing. The Basin is also very popular for sailing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, waterskiing and bushwalking. You can walk along the foreshore at Paradise Beach and enjoy the scenery across the Basin to Pigeon House Mountain. Paradise Beach is a very good place for sailing and boating. You can try waterskiing or wind surfing, hire a catamaran, kayak or canoe. There is excellent swimming for families at a shallow bay beach. There is a wide range of lakeside accommodation at Paradise Beach, Santuary Point, Erowal Bay and other villages in the area.
