Parndana is centrally located inland from the north coast of Kangaroo Island, South Australia, located about 40 km from Kingscote, which is the main town on Kangaroo Island. Parndana is a small rural centre supplying an established farming area, with a small shopping centre, a community hotel and three churches. Parndana is a hub and gateway to both the north and south coasts of the island, Seal Bay and Flinders Chase National Park to the west. It is a great place to stay to see all the wonderful attractions and activities of Kangaroo Island. Wilderness Tours conduct evening Koala Tours at Parndana and the Parndana Wildlife Park opened in 1992, and has a wonderful collection of animals with a focus on Kangaroo Island wildlife. The Spinners and Weavers Guild sell hand spun knitwear and conduct a wool spinning demonstrations.
