Patonga Beach lies in a sheltered bay and so there is little surf and it is an excellent beach for swimming and families. Patonga Beach has scenic views over Brisk Bay to Barrenjoey, Lion Island, Broken Bay, and West Head. The section of beach near where Patonga Creek enters the sea provides ideal conditions for children to play in the shallow water at low tide. Patonga has a children`s playground and a good boat ramp. It is suitable for many activities, including: Swimming at the beach or in the Creek; Beach walks; Bush walks on many trails around Patonga; Exploring the Creek by boat or canoe; Fishing in the Creek or from the Beach.
