- Where to Go, What to See and Do
Pebbly Beach is famous for the many kangaroos that visit the beach. The kangaroos are relatively tame and can be photographed and patted. Pebbly Beach is about south of Termeil and it is about 8km over a gravel road from the turnoff. At the back of Pebbly Beach is Mount Durras, which has magnificent views over the coast and west to the Eastern Escarpment. It takes about an hour to climb Mount Durras from Pebbly Beach and although the track is steep in parts, the views are well worth the effort. There are many other great walks in the area, including a track that links Pebbly Beach to Pretty Beach.
