Listed Below are the Pemberton- Holiday Activities, Tours, Attractions - Find where to Go, what to See and Do.Pemberton is a timber town and tourist centre in the South West Region of Western Australia, located about 3 hours drive from Perth. It is the home of the renowned karri tree, which is the tallest tree in Western Australia and the third largest hardwood tree in the world. The nearby Gloucester National Park contains 3 magnificent karri trees, each more than 60 m tall - The Gloucester Tree, The Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree and The Diamond Tree. Each of these magnificent trees has been fitted with metal steps which allow visitors to climb the trees and reach the lookout areas at the top. In Spring the surrounding forest areas are transformed into a magical display of wildflowers. You can explore the forest on foot along the walking trails, via 4WD vehicles or on horseback. You can also paddle a canoe or kayak on the local river, estuary or lake or visit the large inland dune system in the area. Step back in time to explore the historic remnants of the timber milling days, tour a timber mill, ride a steam train and enjoy some Aboriginal bush tucker or local wines. You can also enjoy fishing for trout, perch and marron and a picnic at Beedelup Falls or Big Brook Dam and settle in for the afternoon. Pemberton is a fantastic place to stay in the wide range of accommodation, and explore the south west including the delights of the Margaret River and the Valley of the Giants.
