Port Rickaby is surrounded by long coastal sand dunes and the shallow bay is protected by reefs to the north and south creating a calm, sandy swimming area and beach that are ideal for the whole family. There is fantastic fishing from the jetty, shore, boat or beach and there is excellent boat ramp allowing beach launching for small of boats for fishing trips inside the bay and offshore. There is a local kiosk, caravan park, and many holiday houses and flats for a wonderful holiday at Port Rickaby. The jetty was once 3 times as long as it is now allowing up to nine ketches to loan wheat at the same time. There are scenic lookouts, parks and walking trails to enjoy.
