Port Noarlunga is a small coastal town on the Onkaparinga River Estuary in the Fleurieu Peninsula Region, about 35 km south of Adelaide. Port Noarlunga has an interesting heritage a major port for sailing ships, and is now a popular spot for tourists and weekend holiday makers. It has magnificent beaches and outstanding venues for diving, both snorkellers and scuba-divers, on offshore reefs. There is a good range of beaches to suit all range of requirements from the sheltered cove beaches to magnificent surfing breaks. The beaches range from Port Willunga, Aldinga Beach, Sellicks Beach and Maslins Beach. The local fishing is fabulous from the beach, jetty and boat, and there are excellent boat ramps, gear and bait shops and other facilities. The Port Noarlunga area is also close to all the award winning wineries of the Limestone Coast. The Onkaparinga River Wetlands Trail has a fascinating boardwalk that provides an excellent way to explore the local wildlife and vegetation communities. The Echidna and Nature Trails explore a gorge with a diverse range of birds and reptiles. The Tjilbruke Dreaming Trail showcases the Aboriginal heritage of the area. There is a wide range of accommodation close the beach and waterfront in Port Noarlunga.
