Point Samson was initially developed as a shipping port and is now home to a major fishing fleet sheltered in a new marina. There is an excellent boat launching ramp and facilities for easy access to the wonderful deep-sea fishing in the area. Point Samson is renowned for its long, white sandy beach that is sheltered by a large offshore coral reef providing ideal conditions for beach activities such as swimming, diving and snorkeling. Point Samson also has some excellent beaches with fantastic snorkelling and diving opportunities. Popular spots include Honeymoon Cove and John`s Creek. You can also see whales migrating south from the shore and cruise boats from July to October. Point Samson has a diverse range of places to stay including two caravan parks, holiday homes, stunning bed and breakfasts, apartments and a quality four star resort.
