Redhead Beach is part of a long line of beaches from Swansea to Redhead. It is a great beach for surfing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, wind surfing, kite surfing and fishing. The calmer waters of beautiful Lake Macquarie with its fantastic sailing, boating and fishing are less than 10 km away. The lake about five times the size of Sydney Harbour and provides a wide range of water activities including, house boats, kite surfing, sailing, water skiing, parasailing, canoeing and kayaking, fishing, kite sailing and all types of boating. You can walk along Nine Mile Beach, which has a patrolled beaches at either end - at Redhead and Blacksmiths Beach.
