Sheffield is a small town in the North Central Region of Tasmania located about 20 km inland from Devonport, close to Railton. Sheffield is the rural service centre for the Mount Roland area with farming focused on diary,fat lambs and beef production. Sheffield is known as the `town of murals with more than 30 murals depicting the local history decorating many of the buildings in the town. The Mural Fest art competition has been held annually since 2003. The Kentish Museum preserves and displays artefacts from Sheffield's past. Nearby is Lake Barrington, which is a world class rowing venue, and it is also very popular for waterskiing, kayaking and canoeing, and there are many bushwalks walk through the rainforest. Nearby is `Tasmazia` a largest maze complex.
