Shelly Beach is located near Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast. It is a very popular vacation spot for families and couples. Shelly Beach has a safe and protected swimming area sheltered by rocks. It has a large picnic and BBQ area and excellent general facilities with shady trees. It provides one of the best beaches for walking, in the Port Macquarie area. There are other beaches close by including: Flynn's Beach that is one of Port Macquarie's most favourite and popular beaches. It is patrolled during the summer months and generally has very good surf conditions. Nobby's Beach, just to the north has magnificent scenic views of the surrounding coastline.
