Streaky Bay, located about 300 km from Port Lincoln and 710 km from Adelaide, has magnificent natural scenery and coastal landscapes that makes this area a very popular holiday destination for tourists. The jetty, dating from 1891, provides ideal fishing, and boating facilities and there is a large Caravan Park right on the waterfront. Streaky Bay is a major service centre for the local wheat and sheep farming industries and supports the local commercial and recreational and fishing with special focus on Abalone, Crayfish and shark. Recently Streaky Bay has become a major centre for aquaculture. Along the coast are many magnificent swimming and surfing beaches and ideal spots for rock, boat and surf fishing. There are excellent all-weather boat ramps at Streaky Bay which provide access to the ocean and Bay for boating, diving, sailing and fishing.
