Sussex Inlet is a small holiday village located about 45km south east of Nowra, at the mouth of the tidal inlet to St Georges Basin. The town has good facilities, with two licensed clubs, a local cinema, shopping village, quality clubs, entertainment, shops and the Aquatic Centre including tennis courts, playgrounds and BBQs. The most popular activities are: swimming, surfing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, boating, water skiing, boating, snorkelling, scuba diving, wind surfing, fishing and bush and beach walks. There is a local permanent population of about 4,000 residents in Sussex Inlet and the other villages of >, Cudmirrah, Berrara and Swanhaven. There is a life saving club at the surf beach that patrols the beach during the summer months. The area is a boating paradise - bring your own boat or there are several boat hire that hire tinnies with outboard motors. Sussex Inlet is renowned for its waterways, fishing, natural bush settings and wildlife, parklands, and for its friendly holiday atmosphere. Sussex Inlet is a place for families to enjoy a traditional holiday at the beach.
