Bondi is the most famous. Heading north from Cronulla, there is Maroubra, Coogee South Coogee, Bronte Clovelly, Tamarama and Bondi Beaches. Cronulla is on the Kurnell peninsula, on the southern side of Botany Bay at the far southern end of the Sydney Region. Bronte is a small beautiful beach lined by parkland and a row of beachside restaurants and cafes. It is a good surfing spot, but it can be rough and dangerous in a big swell. If the surf is too large and you want a swim, there is excellent ocean pool on the headland. Further south is Clovelly Beach which is great for surfing and for families. Gordon Bay is a great scuba diving spot. The southern beaches have a large array of excellent holiday attractions and facilities for a wide range of recreational activities. Visit local wineries in the Sydney area: The Hawkesbury Nepean, for wineries in close to the Hawkesbury and Nepean Rivers, and the Macarthur Region which includes the area around Camden, Picton and Campbelltown. There are now about 35 small vineyards in these three regions. Local Wine districts include: Penrith ; Richmond and Wisemans Ferry ; Luddenham ; Camden and Picton.
