- Where to Go, What to See and Do
Tallow Beach is located just south of Cape Byron. It is long sheltered, secluded and beautiful beach that has retained much of its vegetated back dune. It runs from the Byron Lighthouse on Cape Byron south down the coast to Broken Head Beach. Cosy Corner, just below the Cape, is a very popular surfing location especially when the north-east wind is blowing. The beach and is much less crowded than Byron Bay area, but you need to stroll through the coastal vegetation to get to the beach. The clear blue breaking surf, beautiful golden beaches and the rainforests background on the dune create a magical place you will remember. It is great for surfing, fishing, swimming and simply enjoying a day at the beach.
