Tantanoola is home to the Tantanoola Cave Conservation Park which is a magnificent wet cave system. Tantanoola is known for the Tantanoola Tiger, a mysterious big cat like creatures, which was reported in area in the late nineteenth century. In August 1895 an animal was shot, which turned out to be an Assyrian wolf. You can see the preserved remains at the Tantanoola Hotel. There is very scenic drive past the Woakwine Range Windfarms.
