Taree, located on the Manning River about 320 km north-east of Sydney on the North Coast of New South Wales, is a large modern, attractive town servicing the surrounding rural industries, the Manning Valley communities and the tourists who use Taree as a base for exploring the range of coastal, lakes, rivers and hinterland national parks and state forests in the area.
