There are three magnificent National Parks on the East Coats - Douglas-Apsley National Park, with its quiet rivers and gorge; Freycinet national park, with Wineglass Bay and the red granite of The Hazards Range; and Maria Island, which is a wildlife refuge and wonderful heritage area. Migrating whales and Dolphins can be seen along the coast which has a rich diversity of habitats for fishing and diving.
