The Entrance is a very popular traditional holiday destination that is located on a narrow neck of land between Tuggerah Lake and the ocean in the northern section of the Central Coast. There are a plethora of aquatic recreation options available and excellent facilities and attractions for: sea kayaking, sailing, canoeing, swimming, surfing, boating, fishing, windsurfing, boating, crabbing, prawning or for simply relaxing with family or friends on the beach. A craft market is held each Saturday in Memorial Park. The nearby Wyrrabalong National Park has fantastic bushwalking and areas of coastal rainforest to explore. Throughout the National Park there are walking trails, rocky headlands, sandy beaches, lookouts with magnificent coastal scenery, and picnic areas. In the southern section there is excellent scenery in the area around Crackneck. Further north, the Munmorah State Conservation Area has beautiful coastal walks and wildflowers on displays in the spring. The Entrance is one of the Central Coasts best tourist destinations, offering great shopping, excellent surf beaches, boating and a range of accommodation and restaurants. The fishing is excellent and you can hire launches and boats.
