Timber Creek is a small town that is popular for stop-overs on the road from the Kimberley to Katherine, located on the Victoria Highway about 190 km east of the border with Western Australia and 280 km west of Katherine. The main attraction is fishing for barramundi.in the beautiful Victoria River, that meanders through deep valleys and gorges, and offers wonderful scenery. Gregory National Park is closeby and features fanatastic scenery, escarpment landscapes, diverse wildlife, lovely ancient boab trees and significant Aboriginal and European hieritage. There is also an extensive network of four-wheel-drive tracks in the Park.
