Budgewoi Lake and Tuggerah Lake lie parallel to each other on the Central Coast of NSW. They are divided by a long narrow sand peninsula on which Toukley and Toukley Bridge over the interconnecting channel is located. It was once a small isolated fishing village, but has recently grown to become a residential and holiday resort and weekend recreational area on the Central Coast. Toukley is and ideal base for a holiday enjoying all the excellent beach and lake attractions and activities such as fishing, surfing, boating, sailing, sea kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing and is ideal for families. Tuggerah Lake is ideal for anglers targeting: luderick, tailor, flathead, whiting, jewfish, tarwhine mullet, flounder, snapper, bream, and crabs can all be caught from boats or the shore. Prawns can be netted on warm summer nights with a lamp and net in the shallow sand flats in the lakes. Budgewoi Lake also has great fishing especially for bream. The boat, beach and rock fishing are also excellent.
