The Trial Bay Gaol built in 1877 of locally quarried grey and pink granite has a fascinating museum that is well worth a visit. The sheltered waters of Trail Bay are a great place for sail boarding, canoeing, kayaking, kite surfing, boating and sailing. The scenery around Trial Bay and South West Rocks is magnificent. The National Parks along the coast in this area are also worth visiting: for example Hat Head National Park has great bushwalking tracks, lonely beaches and an array of fascinating flora and fauna.
