Tuggerah Lake and the small coastal lagoons, Munmorah Lake and Budgewoi Lake are a perfect holiday destination located about 100 km north of Sydney. The Wyong River flows into Tuggerah Lake, which flows out to the sea at the The Entrance. The various small villages along the shores of the lakes and the coast provide great facilities and support fro a wide range of activities, including Norah Head and its historic lighthouse. You can take sailing lessons at the Long Jetty Sailing Club or launch your own yacht for fantastic sailing on Tuggerah Lake. The three lakes are ideal for swimming, sailing, kayaking, fishing, waterskiing, boating, canoeing, wind surfing, kite surfing and kids activities. The lakes are ideal for fishing yielding blackfish, bream, mullet, flathead, flounder, whiting, jewfish, prawns and crabs. Try catching prawns can be caught during the summer months with light and net -its lots of fun. To the South are several fine beaches, coves and rocky headlands to explore including: Shelly Beach, Blue Bay, Toowoon Bay, Bateau Bay and Little Bay.
