Tully Heads is a beautiful holiday area located at the mouth of the Tully River, east of Tully. There is a lovely golden beach at Tully Heads has a with a beautiful waterfront reserve with BBQ and picnic facilities. The beach has are spectacular views from Dunk Island to Hinchinbrook Channel and Hinchinbrook Island and many smaller islands offshore. There is a caravan park, holiday houses and other places to stay on the waterfront at Tully Heads, which has fantastic fishing and boating facilities. You can camp on Dunk, Coombe and Wheeler and Islands but permits are required. You also need to e aware that the smaller islands have no water and minimal facilities and you need to take everything with you and leave with your waste. But camping offers the ultimate secluded island experience in pristine environments.
