Victor Harbor is a beautiful seaside resort town located about 80 km south of Adelaide, overlooking Encounter Bay on the South East coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula. At Cape Jervis which is about 50 km to the east, you can catch the ferry to Kangaroo Island. Victor Harbor has a wonderful and diverse range of attractions, activities and facilities for tourist and weekend holiday makers, including: whale watching, seeing, penguins, fishing, swimming at beautiful beaches, steam trains, sailing, boating, golf courses, fun parks, wind surfing, kayaking, as well as offshore cruises and fishing charters. In the surrounding region are the Murray Mouth, and towns of Port Elliot and Goolwa, the Deep Creek Conservation Park and other natural areas, the stunning McLaren Vale Wineries. Rosetta Head, also known as The Bluff, is also very popular as it provides a great spot for whale watching and has scenic views of the surrounding coastline. Victor Harbor has outstanding diving sites, including The Bluff and Wright Island and there are a number of diving centres in town where you can get tank refills and hire scuba gear.
