Avon Valley Region is a beautiful valley just east of Perth, and includes the catchment area for the Avon Valley River which is renowned for kayaking, canoeing white water rafting and the famous Spring Wildflowers. The mighty Avon River is the home of the Avon Descent - an annual international white water rafting event that attracts hundreds of canoeists, kayakers and power boaters to run through the gruelling 133 km route through rapids and rocks. Just south of the Avon Valley is the famous town of Beverley, which is home to a fantastic Aeronautical Museum. The nearby Avondale Discovery Farm is also worth a visit. There is a wide range of attractions, facilities and activities in this beautiful region and a wide range of places to stay.
