The main attraction is the Wakool Dam Aquatic and Recreation Centre which is located about 5 km to the west of Wakool where visitors can enjoy such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, boating, camping and water skiing. To the recreational camper and fisherman the are surrounding Wakool is a delight with its extensive areas of State Forests and seemingly endless river systems. There are four major rivers in the area - the Edward, Wakool, mighty Murray and the Murrumbidgee Rivers all only a short drive away.
