As a holiday destination, Walkerville is the genuine spot to `leave all your troubles behind`. The only access is via gravel roads and the local facilities are spartan. You are advised to bring your own provisions along with you as there is a small local store at Walkerville. The surrounding coastline features layered cliffs of limestone and greenstone Walkerville North, which can be accessed by road or along the 740 m beach walking track, is excellent for swimming and camping and has a good boat ramp. Some of the local attractions and recreational activities include: # Visit the historic Cape Liptrap Lighthouse # Stroll around the historic lime kilns at Walkerville # Explore the coastal rock pools # Go bushwalking along the many trails on the remote and rugged coastline # Waratah Bay is about 90 minutes from Walkerville and is similarly secluded and isolated, but it offers wonderful beach and still water fishing in Shallow Inlet, swimming and surfing. # Wyberg Cave is certainly worth a visit.
