Listed Below are the Walpole - Holiday Activities, Tours, Attractions - Find where to Go, what to See and Do.
Walpole is a rural service and tourist town located on the South Coast, in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia about 110 km west of Albany and 425 km south from Perth. Walpole has a beautiful setting overlooking the calm and relatively pristine waters of the Walpole Inlet, which discharges into the deeper and larger Nornalup Inlet. At Walpole the magnificent tall trees of the karri forests plunge down to the ocean and Walpole is home of the huge tingle trees that grow to over 20m high. The inlets are fed by the Frankland, Deep and Walpole Rivers that provide a unique array of waterways for fishing, kayaking, sailing, canoeing and boating. There are some stunning surfing beaches in the Walpole region and sheltered beaches for general family use. The best surf beaches are Mandalay Beach and Conspicuous Beach. The neighbouring holiday town of Peaceful Bay also has excellent surf and good facilities. The more secluded locations of Long Point and the mouth of the Nornalup Inlet are also worth a visit. There is a wide range of accommodation beside the beach and on the waterfront near Walpole, which has excellent tourist facilities.
Enjoy winetours in the Great Southern Wine Region that includes eleven districts : Albany ; Denmark ; Frankland River ; Cranbrook ; Mount Barker ; Porongurup ; Walpole ; Broome Hill ; Borden ; Redmont ; Mount Barker West
