Waroona is a town located in the Peel region of Western Australia about 113 km south of Perth at the foot of the Darling Range, between Harvey and Pinjarra. The main industries are mixed agriculture, dairying and tourism and the local farms benefit from the irrigation system from the Drakesbrook Weir. Both the Waroona Dam and Drakesbrook Weir are major recreational areas, camping grounds and picnic spots supprting activities such as canoeing and water-skiing. There are several heritage trails in the area and a range of antique, art and craft shops can be found in Waroona. The Waroona Agricultural Show is held every October.
