The town features charming historic streetscapes, pottery studios, a museum and general store, and many State Parks and Natures Reserves. The local Wychitella Forest Reserve conserves remnant mallee forest and is a wildlife sanctuary. There is excellent bushwalking on the area around of Mt Korong to the south-east. This is a great place for as holiday.
