Williamstown is a small town at the southern end of the Barossa Valley Region and the Adelaide Hills, located about 51 km from Adelaide. This is a town which is really little more than a quiet place beside a river. Visit the Barossa Reservoir and the unique Whispering Wall, where your whispers can be heard at the other end of the reservoir wall, more than 100 metres away. There is also a display of water supply heritage items and a picnic area. Williamstown has a wide range of accommodation options including delightful bed and breakfasts and a caravan park. Williamstown is the ideal base for exploring the wineries, walking trails, vineyards, cellar doors and beautiful parks of the beautiful Barossa Valley. Some of the local attractions are: # Williamstown Hotel - built in 1848 this historic pub has a magnificent red gum block floor and the many historic photographs on the walls. # Barossa Reservoir and Whispering Wall # Parra Wirra Recreation Park # Hoffnungstahl - the remains of a short-lived Lutheran congregation established in 1847 and wiped out by floods. # Twin Valley Estate Winery
