The Wiluna community are primarily focused to the local pastoral industry, mining, and servicing the local mines. Wiluna is located on the Goldfields Highway, which connects Meekatharra, Leonora and Kalgoorlie. Many tourists stock up at Wiluna before heading off on their adventures on the Canning Stock Route and the Gunbarrel Highway which are two of the one of the most remote tracks on earth and are both very challenging as for 4WD adventures, both for the roughness of the tracks and their isolation. The Highway directly leads from Western Australia to many popular tourist destinations in Central Australia.
